UMKC Design Studio, Spring 2015
For this charette, I worked closely with Tyler Wilson, UMKC Costume Design MFA (2015). We tried to create a cohesive design of puppetry, costumes and animal masks. Tyler's work was mainly focused on the clothing of the humanesque creatures, while I took on animals, be they puppets of dogs or monsters, or dancers dressed as The Cowardly Lion or Flying Monkeys. We were heavily influenced by both the orginal Oz illustrations, as well as Bakst's designs for the Ballet Russe.
